It’s been a quiet week with getting back in to the swing of work after christmas but I’ve managed to up the training load a bit at least. Well in some ways…
Swimming- Still none- No excuses really, I just need to get into a habit of going.
Cycling- 80 miles- With cycling to work and an extra ride I’ve upped the mileage, not that it was hard to improve on 0.
Running- 10 miles- Not loads but a steady increase from last weeks 6. I’m happy with this because I’ve been focusing on speed and I’m definitely getting quicker.
Extras- Three gym sessions and I’m still getting stronger. Especially my legs. Look out for a post about resistance exercise for running/cycling soon.
So not loads but a definite improvement. If I can keep a steady improvement like this I’ll be happy. Usually I hit a lot of running miles but neglect everything else so as long as I start some regular swim sessions I’ll have a good balance.
