I’ve just entered the Ashbourne Triathlon. If anyone read my blog about warm up events you would know I’ve been considering it but for most events my plans haven’t materialised, mainly due to a lack of money. Luckily, I tweeted Punishing Events, the company that runs the triathlon, in they hope they might sponsor my challenge. They haven’t. But I said luckily because instead they offered me free entry to one of their races so I could then donate the entry fee. This sounded good to me so I’ve just signed up!
Big thanks to Jon Pearson for his company, Extra Time, making a £50 donation and being the first company to sponsor my challenge and get their name on my t-shirt. If you want to know more about Extra Time take a look at their website (here) or if you’d like to know more about businesses sponsoring my challenge get in touch by commenting below.
Just a quick post to any locals to say look out for me in the Derby Telegraph. A guy came round today to take a few photos and he’s going to write an article about my challenge. So look out for me! Hopefully a couple of people will take interest and may even be generous enough to donate.
A quick post about some of the ideas I’ve had to help with fundraising and hit my target of raising £1000 split between Cancer Research UK, BLESMA and Alzheimer’s Research UK. Below are four ways that I’m trying to get people to donate. If anyone has anymore ideas, or any ways to improve the ideas I have, please feel free to comment. I need all the help I can get!
I’ve been lackadaisical at best when it comes to keeping this blog regularly updated. As it’s about time to get back on track here’s an update and a quick look at what’s to come.
Seeing as Alice’s laptop is working for more than 5 minutes (mine’s still useless) I thought I’d write a quick update. This ones concerning my first win in triathlon and how I know I’m an exercise addict.
Thanks to a broken laptop it’s been ages since I last blogged. But I’ve managed to get Alice’s to work for more than 12 seconds (a bigger miracle than Zombieism- pancake day related joke for you). So I thought I’d start my first blog back by asking for money… please?
